Reseal Patio Gatley, Stockport
While a pattern imprinted concrete driveway requires very little maintenance, it does need to be resealed roughly every 2- 3 years dependent on the amount of usage the area gets and how much bad weather it is exposed to.
At Driveway Resealing we recently completed a resealing project on a patio and pathway at the back of a house in the Gatley area of Stockport. The first part of the process involved jet washing the whole area with soapy water. This is done to ensure that the concrete is free of all dirt, debris and algae. The pattern imprinted concrete is also treated with a mild acid which acts as a fungicide. It is then thoroughly rinsed with clean water.
The next stage of the process was to apply the sealant fluid which had a mild tint. Rather than apply one thick coat which could result in pools of the liquid to form in the imprinted joints, it is better to apply two thin coasts so that it can bind to the original sealer. Both coats had an anti-skid system added in order to ensure extra grip.
If you want proof of the difference a driveway reseal can make, take a look at the photographs included. You can see from the comparison photographs what the driveway looked like before and the change in the appearance of the surface in the section that had been resealed. Our clients requested a high gloss sealant and you can also see the stunning results of this on the patio and pathway from the photographs included.
